Job summary

Virginia MOCA is seeking an Education Internship to assist the education team with administrative tasks, organize supplies, and coordinate logistics for studio programs, events, and tours. You may gain exposure to tours, art making activities, and exhibition prep while supporting education initiatives.

Ideal for students or emerging professionals in museum education or nonprofit arts management. Hours are 10–20 per week, Tue–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with potential evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Interest in art education and museums.
• Strong customer service and admin skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with youth programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative tasks and track department records.
• Assist with studio programs, events, and tours.
• Coordinate supplies, vendor communication, and logistics.
• Help prepare materials and surveys for exhibitions.
