Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Museum is seeking a detail-oriented coordinator to provide logistical and administrative support for educational programs serving teens, college students, and adults.

You will coordinate scheduling, track attendance, and assist with preparation and execution of programs, including in-house events and virtual sessions. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy museum environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred with credentials in art/design education or equivalent
• Minimum of two years working with teens, young adults, and adults in educational settings
• Experience in administrative and program support and public-facing roles

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical support for RISD Museum educational programs for diverse audiences
• Coordinate and complete administrative duties for day-to-day program operations
• Schedule On-Call Educators and serve as their primary contact for logistics and communication
• Support pre-program and on-site activities, including space setup, supplies, and attendee tracking
• Assist with event promotion, calendar listings, and participant engagement
• Maintain inventory and organize materials and resources for Education staff and artists
