The National WWII Museum in New Orleans is seeking a Custodial and Event Setup Supervisor. You will report to the Senior Facilities and Event Setup Manager and supervise daily custodial duties and event setup activities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining equipment, and supporting maintenance tasks during events, while ensuring security and OSHA-compliant operations throughout the campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of custodial or related experience required.
• Ability to follow SOPs and use cleaning supplies safely.
• Strong attention to facility cleanliness and safety standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures and custodial equipment.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and train staff in custodial duties including floor cleaning, restrooms, exhibit cleaning, cleaning projects, and event setup.
• Perform daily campus walk-throughs to identify conditions needing attention.
• Ensure janitor closets are stocked and supplies are available from the warehouse.
• Oversee quality and accuracy of custodial work and supervise all custodial activities.
• Cover shifts during staff lunch breaks or call-offs and assist custodians during high guest attendance.
• Provide input on general maintenance needs such as light bulb replacement or exhibit repairs.
• Maintain museum security during cleaning when closed and ensure safety compliance during operations.
