Job summary

The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Division of Museums and History, is seeking a Museum Attendant I (Part Time) at the Lost City Museum in Overton. The role involves customer service, sales in the museum store, POS transactions, and assisting visitors.

Responsibilities include opening/closing registers, handling inventories, processing online orders, and supporting admissions. The position follows a Thursday-Sunday schedule with some holidays and evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of public-facing experience.
• Ability to perform cash handling and POS transactions in a retail/store setting.
• Comfort with using store technology and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist visitors with information and directions and answer questions about exhibits and services.
• Operate surveillance and security logs, and secure the building at the end of the day.
• Collect admissions fees and assist in the museum store as cashier/salesclerk as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks, data entry, and basic computer tasks; prepare and post museum content to online platforms.
• Support online store processing and shipping of orders with timely updates to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and inventory by restocking and reconciling invoices.
