Job summary

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is seeking energetic individuals to join our gift shop team as Museum Associates. You will deliver memorable visits by processing sales, stocking merchandise, and assisting members and brick orders, while sharing the lighthouse history.

As a frontline team member, you will engage guests on paths and towers, lead after-hours tours and programs, and help create an outstanding experience for every visitor in a fast-paced, nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and guest-facing skills.
• Ability to operate sales transactions and merchandise stocking.
• Assist members and brick ordering processes.

Job description

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic people with excellent customer service skills and a conscientious work ethic to join our gift shop team at the St. Augustine Lighthouse.

Museum Associates are responsible for supporting and delivering an unforgettable experience for visitors. Working at the lighthouse is rarely dull, as a museum associate you will train and work in multiple areas including all gift shop operations, leading after-hours tours and programs, helping visitors with memberships and bricks, and sharing the history of the Lighthouse.

Your work in the gift shop plays an important role in the day-to-day support of our non‑profit Museum. You are the first and last person a visitor sees on our site.

Responsibilities:
