Job summary

Resurgens-Orthopaedics in Georgia seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans for musculoskeletal conditions and to assist physicians in diagnosis. You will collaborate with radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and staff to ensure accurate imaging and excellent patient care.

The role requires knowledge of MRI safety, patient screening, contrast administration, and equipment QA, with 1–3 years of MRI experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of MRI experience, preferably in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal imaging setting.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT) and CPR/AED.
• Knowledge of GE, Siemens, or Philips MRI systems and PACS/DICOM.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients to ensure optimal image quality while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Screen patients for contraindications such as implanted medical devices or metal objects.
• Administer contrast agents as needed, following safety guidelines and physician directives.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performing routine quality control checks.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, imaging results, and any relevant clinical information.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, orthopedic physicians, and medical staff to review images and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Educate patients about the MRI procedure, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Follow safety protocols related to MRI environments, including maintaining a magnetically safe workspace.
