The ideal candidate holds MRI certification (ARRT or equivalent), has hands-on experience with MRI systems in outpatient settings, and demonstrates excellent communication and safety-conscious practices.

Qualifications

  • ARRT or equivalent MRI certification is required.
  • Experience operating MRI equipment, preferably in an orthopedic/outpatient setting.
  • Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and infection control procedures.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of musculoskeletal structures.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain processes and ensure comfort and safety.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images, following physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards.
  • Review images for quality and completeness, assist radiologists in interpretation.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
  • Document patient information and imaging details accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care and imaging schedules.
