Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years MRI experience, preferably orthopedic/musculoskeletal.
• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) and CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans following protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients for optimal image quality while prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Screen patients for contraindications (implanted devices, metal).
• Administer contrast agents per safety guidelines and physician directives.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment; perform routine quality control checks.
• Monitor patients during imaging and respond to adverse events.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging results.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic staff to review images.
• Educate patients about the MRI procedure and address questions.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and magnet safety requirements.
