Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans to aid diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. The role requires deep imaging knowledge and adherence to safety protocols.

You will work with radiologists and surgeons to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging, maintain patient records, and educate patients about the MRI process. This is a full-time on-site position at our Kennesaw location.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience performing MRI scans, preferably in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal imaging setting.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification: Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent), CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various MRI systems and software, such as GE, Siemens, or Philips MRI scanners. Knowledge of DICOM imaging standards and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for storing and retrieving MRI images.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients to ensure optimal image quality while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Screen patients for contraindications such as implanted medical devices or metal objects.
• Administer contrast agents as needed, following safety guidelines and physician directives.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performing routine quality control checks.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, imaging results, and any relevant clinical information.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, orthopedic physicians, and medical staff to review images and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Educate patients about the MRI procedure, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Follow safety protocols related to MRI environments, including maintaining a magnetically safe workspace.
