Job summary

Resurgens-Orthopaedics is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans for musculoskeletal imaging and to support accurate diagnoses in orthopedics.

You will prepare patients, screen safety, operate GE/Siemens/Philips scanners, administer contrast when needed, maintain image quality, document results, and collaborate with radiologists, orthopedic surgeons and staff while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience performing MRI scans, preferably in orthopedic/musculoskeletal imaging.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification: ARRT MRI or equivalent; CPR/AED certification.
• Familiarity with GE, Siemens, or Philips MRI systems; knowledge of DICOM and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients to optimize image quality while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Screen patients for contraindications such as implants or metal objects.
• Administer contrast agents when needed following safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and perform routine quality control checks.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging results.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to review images.
