Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate/bachelor preferred.
• 5+ years in transportation, fleet, logistics, or dispatch; 2+ years supervisory.
• Municipal/public-sector experience desirable.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily transportation operations, routes, dispatching, service schedules, and staffing coverage.
• Supervise, schedule, train, coach, evaluate, and support drivers and transportation staff.
• Adjust routes or assignments in response to absences, emergencies, weather, traffic, service changes, or passenger needs.
• Promote safe driving practices and enforce policies.
• Maintain driver records, licenses, medical certifications, and compliance files.
• Coordinate DOT testing and qualifications with HR and providers.
• Ensure vehicles receive inspections, maintenance, and safety checks.
• Monitor fleet condition, fuel use, and expenditures.
• Investigate incidents and report actions taken.
• Maintain operational statistics and prepare ridership/performance reports.
• Respond to residents and Township leadership and resolve transportation concerns.
