The City of Springfield, TN is seeking a Street and Sanitation Worker to perform manual labor in the street and sanitation departments. This role involves constructing and maintaining streets and sidewalks, drainage work, landscaping, and waste collection. The job requires outdoor work in various conditions, compliance with safety procedures, a drug screen and physical, and a TN Class D driver license. High school diploma or GED preferred, with related experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED with some manual-work experience.
• Must possess a valid Class D driver license issued by Tennessee.
• Must pass a drug screen and a physical examination per city requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Construct and maintain city streets, including asphalt and gravel work.
• Maintain sidewalks and the greenway; install and repair drainage systems.
• Assist with landscaping tasks: mowing, spraying, watering, trimming, planting.
• Install and repair city signs; perform traffic control for projects.
• Paint pavement markings and related structures; collect and transport waste.
• Perform refuse container collection, emptying, and repair; operate related equipment.
• Perform after-hours emergencies and other duties as required.
