Job summary

The City of Springfield, TN is seeking a skilled equipment operator to perform heavy construction tasks and operate a range of city-owned vehicles. This role requires driving and operating street sweepers, loaders, graders, snow plows, and related machinery on municipal projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience with equipment operations.
• Valid Class A CDL license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate street sweepers, loaders, graders, snow plows, and dump trucks.
• Operate paving, asphalt, and concrete equipment for street construction.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on equipment used.
• Routinely clear debris from streets and assist with right-of-way tasks.
• Respond to after-hours calls and assist with loading/unloading.
