Job summary

City of Grants Pass is seeking a Municipal Services Worker to join the Facilities Management Team. The role covers a range of maintenance tasks, including HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation systems, with a focus on delivering reliable service to tenants.

The incumbent will respond to service calls, track maintenance activities, and manage related projects. A high school diploma or equivalent with training and experience is preferred, along with a valid Oregon driver’s license

Job description

Duties for this position include:

  • Perform a range of facilities operation and maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and adjustments on HVAC, lighting/electrical and plumbing systems, and equipment.
  • Respond to service calls and manage service call tracking information
  • Manage facilities related projects
  • Maintain grounds and adjust and repair irrigation systems
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among building tenants

This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site.

The proposed work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and the proposed work schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The benefits for this position include, medical, dental, vision and prescription for all qualified family members for premiums of about $142 per month. Time off benefits include vacation, holidays and sick leave.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid Oregon Driver's License - Class C
  • Forklift Certificate within 12 months of appointment

Incumbents must be in possession of or have the ability to obtain any certification or license required by City, State or Federal agencies to work in assigned position.
