Job summary

The City of Grants Pass is seeking a Municipal Services Worker to join the Facilities Management Team. You will perform a range of facilities operation and maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC, lighting, electrical, and plumbing systems, and manage service calls and related information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred with 1 year of related training or experience.
• Valid Oregon Driver's License - Class C is required.
• Forklift certification within 12 months of appointment.

Job description

Duties for this position include:

• Perform a range of facilities operation and maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and adjustments on HVAC, lighting/electrical and plumbing systems, and equipment.
• Respond to service calls and manage service call tracking information
• Manage facilities related projects
• Maintain grounds and adjust and repair irrigation systems
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among building tenants

This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site.

The proposed work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and the proposed work schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The benefits for this position include, medical, dental, vision and prescription for all qualified family members for premiums of about $142 per month. Time off benefits include vacation, holidays and sick leave.

Licensing Requirements:

• Valid Oregon Driver's License - Class C
• Forklift Certificate within 12 months of appointment
