Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in a collection office preferred.
• Coursework or experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Accept, process, and receipt payments in person, online, or by mail for taxes, licenses, fees, fines, and other revenues.
• Enter and update payment and account information in the financial system.
• Provide frontline customer service via phone, email, and at the service counter.
• Assist customers with completing forms and understanding payment processes.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare daily bank deposits under supervision.
• Maintain organized and accurate records per department procedures.
• Route complex customer inquiries to appropriate staff for resolution.
• Assist with mailing invoices, notices, and renewal reminders.
• Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data verification.
• Ensure confidentiality and data protection standards.
