Job summary

Town of Plymouth seeks a qualified Recreation Office Manager/Program Administrator to oversee administrative and financial operations for the Recreation Division of the Health and Human Services Department. Responsibilities include payroll, record keeping, customer service, registrations, and maintaining the division website.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field and 3–5 years of municipal supervisory experience, plus MA Class D license and CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management or related field.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a municipal recreation setting.
• Massachusetts Driver's License required; CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle administrative, supervisory and instructional work for the Recreation Division.
• Maintain records, customer service, and payroll for staff.
• Oversee daily reconciliations of operating budget and revolving accounts.
• Manage office operations and patron inquiries, registrations, and website updates.
• Assist in developing revenue-producing programs, especially for adults, special needs, and preschool children.
• Conduct classes as needed to fill staffing gaps.
