Job summary

Fehr Graham, a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is seeking a Municipal Project Manager in our Schaumburg, IL office. You will lead planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects for communities, serving as the primary client contact.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and PE license with 8–12 years of municipal project management experience, strong leadership, and proposal/presentation experience. Competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of municipal engineering and project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within the first year.
• Strong project management, client communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience preparing proposals and supporting client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, meeting scope, schedules and budgets.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day client contact and build relationships with municipal leaders.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, reports and technical documentation.
• Oversee permitting, regulatory coordination and quality assurance reviews.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities with current and prospective municipal clients.
