Job summary

Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Project Manager in Champaign, IL to lead civil/municipal projects with precision, delivering on schedule and within budget. You’ll oversee engineers and CAD staff, manage client relationships and drive business development while maintaining the firm’s quality standards.

You’ll collaborate across offices, ensure staffing alignment, review work, and present proposals and contracts to clients.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in project management and engineering design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with municipal/civil projects and business development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee diverse civil/municipal projects with focus on scope, schedule and budget.
• Review junior staff work and guide engineers and CAD technicians.
• Coordinate staffing across offices and manage subconsultants.
• Lead client interactions, proposals and contracts.
• Drive business development and build client relationships.
• Manage client invoicing and explain billed items.
• Address project write-offs and implement preventative strategies.
• Uphold the firm’s quality control standards.
