GARVER LLC is seeking a Municipal Project Manager to join their Transportation Team in Overland Park, KS. This role involves project management, oversight of plan production, quality control, and client relationship building. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, a PE license in Missouri and Kansas, and a minimum of six years of relevant experience in roadway design. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management and plan production.
  • Ensure quality control and train other engineers.
  • Build client relationships and support marketing activities.

Garver seeks a Municipal Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Team in Overland Park, KS or Kansas City, MO to continue the tradition of providing reputable service to our clients and adding to our award winning culture.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Project management
  • Plan production oversight
  • Quality Control
  • Training other engineers
  • Client relationship building
  • Technical experience should include:
    • Geometric design for roadways/intersections
    • 3D Design experience
    • Drainage design
    • Construction sequencing and traffic control
  • Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Missouri and Kansas, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD)
  • Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on Kansas City Metro and/or Missouri municipal clients
  • Utility Relocation Coordination Experience
