Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred)
• Knowledge of KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook/ Roadside Design Guide
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program

• Practical working knowledge of the KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook and Roadside Design Guide as well as other KDOT Design manuals and processes.
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Requirements

• Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on KDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects.
• 3D Design experience.
