Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred)
• Knowledge of KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook/ Roadside Design Guide
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Responsibilities

• Project management and coordination of road/transportation projects
• Sub-consultant coordination and team alignment
• Project and task scheduling to meet milestones
• Civil design tasks supporting transportation projects
• Plan production oversight and quality control
• Preparing cost estimates and scoping for proposals
• Client interaction and project communications
• Marketing activities such as proposals and interviews where needed
