Job summary

Garver Engineering is seeking a Municipal Project Manager in Oklahoma City to lead transportation projects, coordinate sub-consultants, and manage schedules and budgets on municipal roadway programs. The ideal candidate holds a PE license, ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, 8–15 years of experience, and deep knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, MUTCD, and related design standards.

Strong communication and proficiency with Microstation/OpenRoads are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and client interaction abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and roadway design tools (Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads).
• Ability to coordinate sub-consultants and manage project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan production oversight
• Preparing cost estimates
• Quality Control
• Client interaction
• Technical experience should include:
  • Geometric design for roadways/interchanges
  • 3D Design experience
  • Drainage design
  • Construction sequencing and traffic control
  • Utility relocation coordination
• Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Six (8) to twelve (15) years of relevant experience
• Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD)
• Experience with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on transportation projects
• 3D Design experience
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oklahoma, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity
