Job summary

WGA LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager II for Municipal Infrastructure to support planning, execution, and delivery of urban infrastructure projects. The role focuses on collaboration with leadership, client service, and team cohesion.

The candidate will assist in proposals, scopes, budgets, and cost estimates, and participate in QA/QC and design coordination through all project phases. Mentorship and leadership development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required, with Texas PE registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Practice Leadership to support planning, execution and delivery of projects.
• Assist in developing proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Support engineering planning, analysis, design, and coordination across project phases including design, permitting, and construction.
• Execute project work plans, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and aligned with client expectations and company standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and sub-consultants to ensure alignment on technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Participate in QA/QC processes to maintain quality standards and industry best practices.
• Contribute to solving design and project challenges by evaluating alternatives and supporting effective solutions.
• Support day-to-day communication and coordination among team members, with increasing responsibility over time.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff while developing leadership capabilities.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Texas Professional Engineer registration preferred
