Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our client’s team in Lakeland, Florida. This is an onsite, direct-hire position with a salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.

The role requires 3–5 years in municipal infra sales, the ability to manage a large territory across Florida and nearby states, and a proven track record of building relationships with municipal and government buyers. Travel across FL, GA, and TN is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of B2B sales in municipal infra services
• Ability to manage a large geographic territory and drive revenue
• Build trust with municipal and government decision-makers
• Learn technical products and understand customer needs
• Experience with municipal government sales and procurement processes
• Strong comms, presentation, negotiation, and relationship skills
• Willingness to travel territory incl. FL, GA, TN

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships and grow revenue in underground infra services
• Build long-term relationships with municipal customers and identify needs
• Develop new business opportunities and manage existing accounts
• Establish relationships with municipalities, utilities, engineers, contractors
• Identify client needs and propose services
• Create and execute territory growth plans
• Cross-sell multiple service lines to customers
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits
• Coordinate with estimating and operations to prepare proposals
• Track leads and project progress in CRM
• Monitor municipal capital programs and upcoming projects
• Attend regional conferences and networking events
