Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a client-focused GIS specialist to join our nationally recognized team. You will work on projects that involve data management, spatial analysis, and web GIS applications for municipal clients.

The ideal candidate brings experience with ArcGIS Pro and a strong ability to communicate GIS findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while collaborating with colleagues across offices. On-site work and some travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, planning, history or related field with 2 years of experience, or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Proficiency in ESRI GIS software and related tools (ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Survey 123, Field Maps, Story Maps).
• Experience collecting and managing geospatial data; field data collection workflows; data synchronization; integrating field data into project databases.
• Strong cartographic principles, map design, and visualization techniques.
• Experience with local government municipal GIS projects and clients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data.
• Publish, configure, and maintain web maps, hosted feature layers, dashboards, and GIS applications in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Conduct spatial analysis and apply geoprocessing techniques to support municipal projects.
• Create high-quality maps and interactive web applications for presentations and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to design and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
• Assist in the development and implementation of geospatial workflows and standards.
• Stay up to date on the latest GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Effectively communicate GIS findings and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
• Provide GIS technical assistance and basic training to project teams and end users.
