Job summary

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, invites a GIS professional to join our collaborative team in Madison. The role focuses on using ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data, and to publish maps and dashboards in ArcGIS Online or Enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have a geography/GIS background with 2+ years of experience, or 6+ years without a degree, and a strong ability to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, planning, history or related field. Two years of progressive relevant professional experience.
• If no degree, at least six years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data.
• Publish, configure, and maintain web maps, hosted feature layers, dashboards, and GIS apps in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.
• Conduct spatial analysis and geoprocessing to support municipal projects.
• Create high-quality maps and interactive web applications for presentations and reports.
• Collaborate to design and maintain geospatial databases with data integrity.
• Assist in developing geospatial workflows and standards.
• Stay updated on GIS technologies and methodologies.
• Communicate GIS findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide GIS technical assistance and basic training to project teams.
