Job summary

WSB is offering a Municipal Intern (Summer 2027) position to work with engineers and project teams on municipal infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience through design, analyses, and documentation, while developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

To qualify, you must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with interest in municipal infrastructure and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related program is required.
• Interest in municipal engineering, transportation, utilities, or public infrastructure projects is desired.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and preparation of plans for municipal infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, drainage, public improvements).
• Support engineers with design calculations, cost estimates, and analyses.
• Prepare reports, specifications, permit applications, and other project documents.
• Review drawings, plans, and technical documents for accuracy.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support project coordination, data collection, and research activities.
• Learn industry standards and municipal design processes while contributing to active projects.
