Job summary

WSB offers a National Internship Program designed to give civil engineering students hands-on experience with municipal infrastructure projects in Tulsa, OK. You will work alongside engineers and project teams to gain real-world skills and contribute to active projects.

As an intern, you will assist with design, analysis, and documentation while learning industry standards and best practices. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering program from an accredited university.
• Interest in municipal engineering, transportation, utilities, land development, or public infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other engineering design software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design and preparation of plans for municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and public improvements.
• Supporting engineers with design calculations, cost estimates, and technical analyses.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, specifications, permit applications, and other project documentation.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Participating in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions for municipal clients.
• Supporting project coordination, data collection, and research activities.
• Learning industry standards, engineering practices, and municipal design processes while contributing to active projects.

What You Will Do: The Municipal Intern will support the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects while gaining hands‑on experience working alongside engineers and project teams.
