Job summary

WSB invites you to join our National Internship Program, offering hands-on experience in municipal infrastructure projects and real client work. You will work with engineers and designers, contribute to plans, analyses, and reports, and learn industry standards in a collaborative environment.

This internship is designed for current Civil Engineering students who want to apply classroom knowledge to practice, develop professional skills, and explore a future with WSB in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related program.
• Interest in municipal engineering and public infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and preparation of plans for municipal infrastructure projects such as roads and utilities.
• Support engineers with design calculations, cost estimates, and analyses.
• Prepare reports, specifications, permit applications, and project docs.
• Review drawings and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines for high-quality solutions.
• Assist with project coordination, data collection, and research.
• Learn industry standards and municipal design processes while contributing to active projects.

What You Will Do

• Assisting with the design and preparation of plans for municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and public improvements.
• Supporting engineers with design calculations, cost estimates, and technical analyses.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, specifications, permit applications, and other project documentation.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Participating in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions for municipal clients.
• Supporting project coordination, data collection, and research activities.
• Learning industry standards, engineering practices, and municipal design processes while contributing to active projects.

What You Will Bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering program from an accredited university.
• Interest in municipal engineering, transportation, utilities, land development, or public infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other engineering design software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
