Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join its Municipal engineering team in Minnesota. The role involves assisting with civil design for highways, local roads, parks, and utilities, and contributing to reports, estimates, and construction documents.

The EIT will work under a Licensed Engineer and collaborate with multiple disciplines. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering and have completed or will complete the EIT exam within six months, with preferred co-op or

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with successful EIT exam or ability to take EIT within six months.
• Co-op/internship experience preferred for new graduates; 1–2 years for more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support development of civil designs under supervision of Project Manager or Engineer.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent consistency.
• Conduct field observations and assist in construction activities.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; respond to RFIs and prepare site observation reports.
• Communicate professionally with project team, clients, and contractors.
