City of Maypearl in Crowley, Texas seeks a Municipal Court Director to provide leadership, direction, and administrative oversight of the Municipal Court and its staff. You will partner with other city departments to align operations with the city's mission and core values, reporting to the Assistant City Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a municipal court setting with supervisory experience.
• Must obtain Level II Clerk Certification; Level III within two years.
• Notary public or ability to obtain; bondable as required.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license and ability to complete mandatory CE.
• Experience aligning court operations with state law requirements.

Responsabilités

• Oversee preparation of dockets, warrants, and court records with accuracy.
• Monitor court case management system and ensure data input integrity.
• Prepare and analyze reports, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
• Manage the Municipal Court budget and purchasing procedures.
• Directly supervise and train Municipal Court staff to ensure accountability.
• Coordinate with judge, police, prosecutors, and other agencies for court activities.
• Lead juvenile diversion program scheduling and coordination.
• Direct court activities in the absence of the municipal judge.
• Maintain positive morale, safe work practices, and quality service.

Formation

High School Diploma/G.E.D. and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or Criminal Justice (preferred)

Five years municipal court experience with two years in supervision

Level II Court Clerk Certification

Level III Certification within two years of hire

Notary Public commission or ability to obtain one

Bonding ability

Texas Class C driver's license

Continuing education through Texas Municipal Courts Education Center
