Job Opportunity: Municipal Civil Engineer

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer in one of the following locations: Bloomington, Champaign, Chicago, Effingham, Lisle, Peoria, Pontiac, Tinley Park, IL, or St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will focus on the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects including water, wastewater, and stormwater for local and government agencies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies
2. Work on projects related to water, sewer, and streets for municipal clients
3. Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations
4. Perform condition assessments
5. Prepare and develop construction and design documents and plans
6. Manage projects from inception to completion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 2-5 years of Civil Engineering experience
• FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
• Experience with IDOT, MFT, and local agency projects
• Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Ability to work in both office and field environments
• Strong management, communication, and organizational skills

$70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
