Job summary

City of Roswell is seeking a Budget Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex professional work in the preparation, analysis and monitoring of operational and capital budgets. The role supports revenue monitoring, forecasting and reporting across the Finance department, with independence in developing work methods under general supervision.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least two years of budget/financial analysis experience; FLSA exempt and pay

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; two years of budget/financial analysis experience; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of municipal budgeting and financial reporting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, analyzes and monitors operational and capital budgets for the City of Roswell.
• Reviews budget requests and provides technical expertise on budgeting policies and procedures.
• Prepares financial analyses and forecasts to aid long-range planning and ensure a balanced budget.
• Coordinates revenue and expenditure forecasts for five-year financial planning.
• Assists in formulating and implementing budgetary policies.
