The City of Atlanta is seeking a seasoned budget analyst to forecast financial planning needs for the business unit, participate in the annual budget process, and monitor monthly expenditures to meet fiscal goals. This role requires independence, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with elected officials and department staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing reports for Budget and Finance, analyzing variances, and supporting implementation of budgeting

Competenze

• Associate degree in Finance or Accounting with related work experience.
• General financial planning, budgeting, and GAAP knowledge.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication abilities.

Mansioni

• Forecast financial planning for the business unit.
• Participate in annual budget preparation and review monthly expenditures.
• Support creation/implementation of processes for timely, accurate budgeting.
• Perform special financial planning and project analyses.
• Analyze and reconcile departmental budgets and contracts for GAAP compliance.
• Prepare summaries/reports for Budget and Finance as needed.
• Monitor department spending to manage budgets and forecast expenditures.
