The City of Raleigh Finance Department seeks an Accountant to support the Accounting Division in maintaining the City’s general ledger, grants, and financial statements. You will partner with departments to ensure accurate accounting, policy adherence, and timely reporting.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
1–3 years' accounting experience preferred; equivalent combinations may be substituted.

Responsabilités

Prepares journal entries, year-end accruals, and reconciliations to ensure ledger integrity.
Prepares bank reconciliations for multiple City accounts; serves as subject matter expert for fiscal staff.
Reconciles grants and monitors grant activity; supports ACFR preparation and state/federal reporting.
Verifies budget and approves wires/non-purchase order payments across departments.
Monitors deadlines and coordinates timely financial reporting to internal/external stakeholders.
Assists with month-end and year-end close, and maintains supporting schedules and footnotes.
