Job summary

Take2 Consulting, LLC seeks experienced MUMPS Developers for VA Patient Care initiatives. You will design, implement, and maintain VistA/MUMPS and InterSystems IRIS solutions, ensuring secure, reliable healthcare applications in a federal environment.

Typical assignments include patch creation, deployment verification, and collaboration with VA stakeholders, analysts, and infrastructure teams to resolve defects while maintaining compliance and documentation across releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS, or comparable health IT development experience.
• Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions, data structures, interfaces, testing, and production support.
• Experience with patch creation, VistA patch release, packaging, installation, and verification process.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.

MUMPS Developer (Mid-Level & Senior-Level Openings)

Overview

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking two experienced MUMPS Developers to support mission-critical capabilities within the Patient Care product line. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance VistA/MUMPS solutions, ensuring secure and reliable healthcare applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable software that meets operational needs. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in a federal healthcare environment supporting Veterans' care.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred.

Clearance Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Work Arrangement

Remote (US).

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
• Knowledge of VistA patch development and release processes, InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or VA Pharmacy applications.

Pay Range

Mid-Level: $70,000.00–$120,000.00 (annual).

Senior-Level: $130,000–$170,000 (annual).

The pay range is based on qualifications and experience, and assumes all role requirements are met.
