The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, SNAMHS, in Las Vegas, seeks a Maintenance Repair Specialist 1 for the Rawson-Neal Psychiatric Hospital. You’ll perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding, and HVACR across eight campus buildings, reading blueprints and codes, and inspecting equipment.

You may lead a small team and must lift up to 50 lbs. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–3:00 pm with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience under supervision of journey level trades persons in two or more major building or mechanical trades, including repair and maintenance activities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, building codes, construction documents, and maintenance manuals.
• Comfort with ladders, working from heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem solving, planning, and cost estimation skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled plumbing work including maintenance, repair, and modification of plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Conduct skilled carpentry work to construct, repair, and modify facilities and woodwork.
• Perform electrical work including reading blueprints, sizing loads, wiring, and troubleshooting motors and controls.
• Paint and finish surfaces; apply wall coverings and varnish furniture.
• Maintain and repair equipment including hydraulic systems and vehicle components.
• May supervise semi-skilled staff and maintain maintenance records and reports.
