Job summary

B & M Management Company, L.L.C. is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to review service requests, assign tasks to staff, and complete daily service orders for residents.

The role includes maintaining an inventory of parts and recording work performed in detail. You will certify contractor work before payment, perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and painting repairs, and follow safety procedures to keep a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing effective communication with residents, prospects, employees, peers, vendors, owners, etc.
• Computer software experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and OneSite
• Basic understanding of Federal, State and local Fair Housing laws.

Responsibilities

• Reviews service requests and assigns to appropriate employee for completion.
• Complete daily service requests
• Reviews the returned service request completion report to ensure all assigned service requests have been completed satisfactorily and timely.
• Establishes and maintains an inventory of parts, materials and supplies determining which items will be stocked and the appropriate amounts and which items will be purchased on an as needed basis.
• Record work performed on resident service requests accurately and in detail.
• Certifies the work performed by contractors is property completed prior to payment being issued.
• Performs maintenance and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and other building repairs.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe working environment.
