Job summary

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) is seeking a maintenance technician to perform semi-skilled repairs and installations across electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting trades.

Responsibilities include retrieving daily assignments, tracking hours in the AiM system, submitting documentation promptly, and performing duties as assigned. This on-site role requires a valid NYS driver’s license and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson.
• Completion of a two-year technical school program in a relevant trade is acceptable.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training via appropriate technical courses is also valid.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled repairs/installations in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting trades.
• Retrieve daily assignments and track hours using the AiM work management system.
• Submit accurate documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform duties as assigned.
