Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Maintenance Repairman 2 for Kings Gap Environmental Education Center to perform skilled trades, operate equipment, and maintain facilities and grounds for visitors.

You will lead crews and volunteers on repairs, support seasonal upkeep, and help manage hazardous tree removal and invasive species programs in a hands-on, public-service environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance with at least two trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
• PA residency waiver applies; ability to perform essential job functions.
• Criminal history checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and mechanical tasks to maintain park facilities.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and maintain required logs.
• Maintain trails, roads, lawns, and garden areas.
• Support hazardous tree removal, invasive species control, and pesticide/herbicide programs.
• Conduct snow removal, winter prep, and seasonal upkeep.
• Guide laborers, volunteers, and other workers during repairs and construction projects
