Job summary

The Kings Gap Environmental Education Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to keep park facilities, equipment, and natural spaces in top condition. This hands-on role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and mechanical work as part of a small, dedicated team.

You will operate light and heavy equipment, maintain trails and grounds, manage logs, and guide volunteers on repairs and projects.

Qualifications

• Two years as Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance across two trades.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
• PA residency waiver for this title.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and mechanical tasks to maintain park facilities.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and complete maintenance logs.
• Maintain trails, roads, lawns, and garden areas.
• Support hazardous tree removal, invasive species control, and pesticide/herbicide programs.
• Guide laborers, volunteers, and workers during repairs and construction projects.
• Conduct snow removal and seasonal facility upkeep.
