Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Roper II for Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC.

The role covers hands-on repair and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC systems in a healthcare setting. You will inspect, diagnose and fix issues, maintain logs, and respond to on-call emergencies while collaborating with a team to keep critical facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED within 6 months of hire.
3+ years of experience in repair/maintenance of commercial buildings or healthcare facilities.
Fluent in English (read, write and speak).
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Maintain accurate record keeping.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain lighting fixtures, ballasts, and 115V outlets and circuits.
Operate and test electronic systems (fire alarm, security, timers).
Repair and maintain plumbing: toilets, drains, valves, and fittings.
Perform carpentry tasks: furniture repair, wall patching, tile work, roofing repairs.
Operate and maintain HVAC systems; change filters; lubricate motors/pumps/fans; assist in repairs.
Maintain and clean mechanical rooms and equipment; complete work orders timely.
Assist with installing new equipment and respond to on-call emergencies.
