Job summary

Cedarfield in Richmond, VA seeks a Full Time Maintenance skilled tradesman to maintain, repair and operate the community’s physical plant. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and vehicle upkeep.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, VA driver’s license and at least 3 years in maintenance. On-call rotation and safety trainings are part of the duties, with competitive benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High-school education or GED equivalency required.
• Vo-tech training or specialized training courses in associated fields preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair required.
• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license and meet Pinnacle Living‘s risk management requirements to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, or repair a wide variety of building architectural features such as doors, locks, windows, screens, fixtures etc. according to department policies, procedures, and practice.
• Perform various duties requiring comprehensive mastery of a specific trade (HVAC, electrician, plumber, etc.). Assist in preventive maintenance and record-keeping.
• Assist other maintenance team members to complete maintenance and repairs to the physical plant and campus in a timely fashion.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report repair needs to supervisor; make daily rounds of the facility and equipment.
• Serve as on-call maintenance person to cover after-hours emergencies.
• Attend safety meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and propose improvements to safety and efficiency.
