Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Facility Maintenance Tech II to perform skilled preventative maintenance and repairs on City facilities, covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. The role requires two years of relevant experience and a valid Texas Class C license.

You will work with a team on large maintenance projects, operate diverse tools, and complete safety trainings while supporting city infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or municipal facility maintenance or related skilled trade.
• Valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
• EPA Section 608 Certification, HVAC Technician Certification, Electrical, Plumbing, or building maintenance certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on City facilities and systems.
• Respond to service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, roofing, doors, locks, windows, ceilings, and flooring.
• Participate in large-scale maintenance projects to upgrade and maintain facility infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance.
