Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Skokie, IL is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Associate II to support daily store operations, assist customers, merchandise, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

You will handle cash transactions, operate the register, and assist with front-end duties as needed. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs, strong communication, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
• High level of integrity is required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight safely.
• Merchandising and stocking as needed.
• Maintaining cleanliness and restocking restrooms and floors.
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Managing sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
