Job summary

Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV seeks a General Engineer to operate and maintain fire alarm systems and repair kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers/freezers, boilers, water heaters, and pumps. You will perform preventative maintenance and record data per schedule.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; refrigeration experience is preferred; EPA certification is required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Nevada driver's license.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Refrigeration.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a commercial or industrial setting preferred.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply technical material, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of Health Department, ADA, and OSHA codes and regulations.
  • EPA certified.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems with systems and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks.
  • Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
