Job summary

Palms Casino Resort is seeking a General Engineer to oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems and kitchen equipment, including walk-ins, boilers, water heaters, and pumps. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and timely repairs to ensure safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, emergency response, and documentation of maintenance activities, with opportunities to lead initiatives and coordinate with management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
• Must be able to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems.
• Troubleshoot problems with systems and take appropriate corrective action.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks.
• Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
