Job summary

Palms Casino Resort is seeking a General Engineer to work closely with the Assistant Chief Engineer and become familiar with operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, kitchen equipment, walk-ins, boilers and pumps. The role involves installing new equipment and maintaining facilities through preventative and corrective maintenance.

The candidate should have refrigeration experience, be able to read schematics and blueprints, and possess EPA certification, with flexibility for evenings,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Nevada driver's license required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
• Must be able to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Three (3) years of experience in a commercial or industrial setting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Refrigeration.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply technical material, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must be EPA certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems.
• Troubleshoot problems with systems and take appropriate corrective action.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks.
• Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
