Job summary

Helmerich and Payne is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our Tulsa-based team. You will support the accurate, bi-weekly payroll for about 6,000 employees across multiple states, serving as a resource for payroll questions and ensuring compliance.

You will work with operations, HR, and payroll leadership to maintain accurate records, assist with audits, and drive improvements in payroll processes while upholding confidentiality and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of payroll, accounting, HR, or related administrative experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit bi-weekly payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Research and resolve employee payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and pay issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, direct deposit changes, on-demand payments, and other off-cycle transactions.
• Review and support timekeeping records in Kronos, ensuring data accuracy and policy compliance.
• Troubleshoot payroll and timekeeping issues, including Workday and Kronos data interfaces.
• Create and maintain payroll-related transactions and records in Workday.
• Coordinate with HR and operations to maintain accurate payroll information.
• Support payroll audits, reporting requirements, and compliance with regulations.
